I’ve worked my way up
I started at Driver Hire doing IT support on a one-year placement as part of my university course.
When the course finished I was offered a full-time job and have spent the past 10 years in the IT Support Team, where I led a team of four people.
The team are responsible for delivering IT support to the Driver Hire regional office network, as well as almost 1,000 customers who use products like dh Licence Check.

A new challenge
After working in IT for the past 10 years, I wanted to explore a new challenge. Recently I was given the opportunity to move into a completely different role as a National Account Manager.
I started this in July and I am now working with our big national accounts, like GAP and CEMEX, negotiating rates and making sure the relationship goes smoothly.
They spotted my potential
I love the culture here at Driver Hire. We work hard, but we have a lot of fun too – there’s a real positivity about the business. For me personally, Driver Hire spotted my potential and gave me a chance to prove that I could take responsibility for building up part of the company.
It’s always been important to me that there’s an opportunity to progress and being able to move into this new role has given me the ability to do just that. I’m now looking forward to working within the National Accounts team and making my future at Driver Hire a success.
