A new challenge
After working in customer service since I was 16, I decided I wanted a new challenge. Recruitment seemed ideal, combining the excitement of sales with what I most enjoyed in my previous roles – supporting customers.
I joined Driver Hire in October 2015 as a recruitment consultant in the Kettering branch, part of the company’s owned network. Working with a national client base really appealed to me, especially as I knew Driver Hire has the scale to support them.
“It’s such an encouraging, friendly business with a real sense of teamwork. You know there’s always someone there to help you succeed.”
A wealth of opportunities
After a year and a half, I was offered the position of branch manager at Bedford and Huntington and of course, I took it.
It brought new responsibilities and gave me the opportunity to prove not only my recruitment skills, but also manage a team, build client relationships and grow our local network.
Since taking on the role, I’m proud to say we’ve more than doubled our shifts, from 50 to 120 a week, and built strong client relationships across the region. And things are only getting busier.
Supporting my future
I’m still early on in my career with Driver Hire and there’s so much more for me to learn. But I also know there are many progression opportunities available to me within the company.
I see what I’ve achieved in only two years and I’m excited to see where my career takes me next. Whichever route I take, I know that the business will support me in achieving my ambitions.
